Tianjin is one of the four municipalities in the People Republic of China and it is also known as jin as its short form. Tianjin has the fourth-largest urban population in China and the city is famous for its one of the biggest industrial and port city also known as ‘the diamond of the Bohai Gulf’.

Tianjin Cruise Terminal:
The Port of Tianjin has two passenger terminals in which one is the old “Tianjin Xingang Passenger Terminal” which is now serving the ferry and coastal cruise shipping services and the other one which is the new one known as “Tianjin Cruise Homeport” which is serving exclusively cruise ships.
-Tianjin Xingang Passenger Terminal:
The First terminal which is Tianjin Xingang Passenger Terminal is operated by the port’s subsidiary “Tianjin Passenger Company” and the facility serves all the regularly scheduled ferries, as well as local smaller vessels operating on coastal cruises.
-Tianjin Cruise Homeport which is “Tianjin International Cruise Terminal”:
Tianjin Cruise Homeport is the second cruise terminal facility located on the Dongjiang peninsula’s southern tip. The passenger terminal was made and inaugurated in 2010 and it is now the most important port where all larger cruise vessels are homeported and are filled with many tourists every year.
Tianjin Cruise Port:
Tianjin port is Northern China’s largest and major seaport, located at the head of the Hai River. Tianjin International Cruise is a first home Cruise port in China. The Port of Tianjin is also known as the Port of Tanggu, It is located in the north of Dongjiang. Tianjin is the closest seaport to Beijing. It accommodates many International Cruise Ships, which includes; Ocean Princess, Oceania Nautica, Costa Classica, Celebrity Millennium, Crystal Symphony, Volendam, Sapphire Princess, and Azamara Quest and Arcadia. Today it is the home port for both “Costa Cruises” and “Caribbean’s’’.
The Tianjin Cruise port’s cruising season is February through November and that tie is the busiest time of year.
Terminal and Berths:
The Tianjin Cruise terminal is approximately 180km from Beijing and 70km from the city of Tianjin but it is in the Tianjin Region. The Tianjin Cruise Terminal is a large and modern terminal on reclaimed land and the area around it is still under construction and there are no amenities near the terminal. The port is a 3 terminal hall offering 3 berths and can accommodate two large cruise ships at the same time serving 4000 passengers. And in a future development plan, the Tianjin Cruise port will build 6 more berths.
Many different kinds of facilities are available in Tianjin Cruise port and they include lounge service, luggage handling, ticketing, and customer service. There are customs and migration facilities available before boarding.
If you have some stay before boarding in the cruise and you want to secure your luggage so you can submit your luggage at the Luggage Handling counter in some fair and can luggage free in the lounge port.
-Currency Exchange at Tianjin Port (Tianjin Cruise Port):
The currency exchange facility is available at Tianjin Cruise Port. The official currency for Tianjin is the Chinese Yuan Renminbi and the exchange rate at Tianjin port is 1 CNY = 0.14 USD/ 1USD = 7 CNY nowadays. The counter of the Currency exchange is on the first floor near gate 3 where you can go and exchange your currency by giving what you want to exchange for.
There is free high-speed Wi-Fi access at the Tianjin cruise terminal. It is recommended to use any VPN if you want to have access to Google, Gmail, and Facebook because they all are blocked in China.
There are a total of 5 floors in the Tianjin Cruise Port.
The 1st floor mainly serves the passengers who are going to embark/disembark with the waiting lounge, cafe, currency exchange, and the duty-free shops.
The 2nd floor of the port is mainly for commercial use with multiple duty-free shops and cafes.
The 3rd floor of the port is the restaurant area with lots of food for you to choose from because no one can live without food off course.
-Fourth and Fifth Floor:
The 4th and 5th floors of Tianjin Cruise Port are not for the public yet.

Local taxis are present in the designed area for taxi outside the building.
You can book a private car or if you are in a group, vans are also available for your comfort.
The Shared shuttle buses are also available.
Inside the complex area of the terminal includes the duty-free shopping where you can shop and kill your time also there are hotels if you have to stay inside the terminal and eating area if you get hungry waiting.
Tianjin Top Attractions:
Tianjin is one of the famous tourist spots due to its mesmerizing attractions which everyone should see once. Some of the major tourist attraction includes;

-Tianjin Eye: The most noticeable attraction in Tianjin, the Tianjin Eye is the beautiful and only Ferris wheel in the world to be atop a bridge.
